South America's Top Clubs - February 2016

Finally, some South American football leagues are back up and running. It did not lead to many changes in the club ranking yet though. On top for the third time in a row: Argentina's Huracán.

One league that has not started yet is the Argentine one, hence the top position for the Copa Sudamericana finalists. Freshly up to second: Deportivo La Guaira from Venezuela, who only lost one of their last 15 competitive matches.

New to the list in February are exactly three teams: Colombia's Santa Fe, Uruguay's Nacional and Bolivia's Sport Boys Warnes.

For this table, we look at the last 15 results from each team in South America’s leagues and Copa Libertadores/Sudamericana. A win in the league gets you 3 points, a draw 1. Internationally those numbers are doubled to 6 and 2.
